The Journal fosters four powerful skills, the 'GROW Superpowers', to support positive mental health in all kids who use it.
G - Gratitude A natural antidote to comparison, gratitude strengthens our self esteem and resilience. Practicing gratitude brings our focus to the present moment, and to what is great about now and what we have. A regular gratitude practice has a positive impact on both our mental and physical health.
R - Resilience
Resilience is all about how well we handle the ups and downs of life, and our ability to bounce back from set backs and adversity. It's knowing that it's normal to go through challenging times, and having the skills and mindset to support ourselves as we do. Resilience is a skill that anyone can create and strengthen.
O - Optimism When we are optimistic, we believe in ourselves and expect good things to happen. Being optimistic helps us naturally think about the world, other people, and ourselves with positivity and hope.
W - Wellbeing
Wellbeing isn’t just about being being physically healthy, it's also about how we feel in our lives. Wellbeing comes from our thoughts, actions, and experiences, and things like Journaling and a regular gratitude practice, help create mindsets that support wellbeing.
