The TULPPAANI pattern was designed for Lapuan Kankurit by Helmi Liikanen in 2019. Helmi Liikanen is a Aalto University graduate, surface designer and a woven fabrics enthusiast. Often Helmi gets inspiration from the design process itself, as she plays with materials, colours and structures. Helmi believes in combining design knowledge and craftmanship for textiles with lasting beauty. TULPPAANI is a fun and more experimental combination of different weaves and warp densities. “TULPPAANI was born out of the joy of playing around with weaves and materials.” The TULPPAANI blanket is a fantastic gift for a family member or friend.
